Hello Life Church! We are excited to announce our plan to re-open outdoors beginning this Sunday to worship and praise God together again. We respect that everyone is in a different position as far as their comfort level and ability to meet. We are trying to make this a safe and comfortable way to meet for anyone choosing to do so.
Important information for gathering
The health and safety of our church family and visitors is our first priority. We are excited to get together but need to ensure we are doing it as responsibly as possible. So, if you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms that could be related to covid please call your doctor before planning any excursion!
The Ontario government has moved Durham region into stage 3 of their re-opening plan. We will be following all of the guidelines laid out by the ministry of health.
What to expect:
Social Distancing
It’s been a while since we’ve all been together. Although we’re a friendly, loving group, we ask that you fight the urge to hug each other for the time being. Social distancing of 6 feet between families will be required.
What do I need to Bring?
Please bring your own chairs (and maybe an umbrella for shade) and find a spot an appropriate distance away from other groups where you can enjoy our celebration time. Please bring a mask in case you need to enter the church building. Also, please make sure to bring a bottle of water, and if you like, a picnic lunch to simply enjoy a bit of time in the company of others afterward. We will have the large tent up for shade too, but not everyone will fit under it.
Other Options to Meeting Outside?
If you prefer to stay in your vehicle, we are asking that those people let us know so that we can reserve some parking in the spots closest to the grass. We plan to have the sound system running outside.
Children’s Ministry
There will be no children’s ministry so if you’d like to bring an activity (colouring, drawing etc) for your children to use, please feel welcomed to do so. We are asking that children remain with their parents.
Washroom facilities
Washrooms will he open inside of the LC. Masks will be required to enter the LC as outlined by the Ontario Government.
We ask that you use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the building. Hand sanitizer will be available at the door.
Lysol wipes will be located in the washrooms. We ask that you keep the washrooms as clean as possible and wipe down the door handles when finished. We would ask if that any children need to use the washrooms that they be accompanied by a parent.
Rain or Shine?
In the unlikely event of rain, we will meet on Zoom. An email will be sent out by 9:30 am on Sunday morning if needed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any member of the leadership team. We look forward to seeing everyone once again!
