New Year’s resolutions are easy to make, but often don’t stick. The problem? Habits are so established in our lives that the resolutions have no basis of development. The underlying patterns determine how we move forward, and resolutions are often just wishful thinking.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen. 1:1) If you read through the account of creation you see exquisite patterns emerge: day/night; earth/sky; water/land; sun/moon…and God infused life into it all! Fish…plants…animals…then the creation of humans…not random…
Then God said, “let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Choked.
Destined to spoil,
Everything toil.

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18) We have hope…a new pattern established in Christ…move forward in your faith. Start today and keep walking in the freedom of Christ each day.
